The Questionable Household...

Now, the household in question here is the Koishikawa-Matsuura residence.

If you're new to the series (or don't really know much about it) you're probably going "Eh?! Why are they living in the same house? This makes no sense!!!"

It sort of makes sense...but it IS weird.

So let's start this off as comprhensible as possible...

All the parents are crazy. (Yes this does make it easier to understand -- no really!)

Miki's parents, and Yuu's parents go on a trip to Hawaii where they meet, and fall in love in new couples. That is...the couples are now Rumi and Youji, and Chiyako and Jin.

These crazy parents, decide to all divorce, swap partners, and re-marry. (Just totally disregard the kids -- great job! Yeesh...)

But wait, there's more...

Not only are these new couples divorcing, swapping, and getting married again -- they're all going to live in the same house, with the kids too!!!

This drives Miki nuts and she openly opposes it (loudly too ^_^). Yuu just sits there, but is apparently shocked like Miki. He just figures there's nothing he can do to stop his psychotic parents (and he's right).

However, it seems that the parents aren't as moronic as they seem (I think I'm going to faint from the shock...this CAN'T be true...)

The kids are said to only be with their father's marriage, so in the eyes of the census registry -- they are still two completely different families (and no name changes for the kids either!)

As time goes by, Miki and Yuu eventually fall for each other and confess their feelings (how cute!!!) But, this new couple keeps it a secret from their parents. (Hey...that doesn't mean the parents are sane -- they're just LUCKY!!!)

Eventually, Miki and Yuu tell their parents, and ask for permission to get married. (The parents never answer though -- weird)

All the parents think it's cute, except for Miki's dad, Jin. He openly opposes it (loudly -- could Miki have inherited it from him?) But he's just being an over-protective father. He just doesn't want his little girl to be taken away by some man. (hee hee hee)

So everything is fine and Miki and Yuu will always be together (no matter what! Yay!!!)

Note: You may be wondering how Miki and Yuu would even be allowed by law to get married. Well, in Japan -- there is no such thing as step-brother and step-sister. So they aren't really related...But besides, is was just a legal thing for their parents in any case, so the two were never related by blood (It's all good ^_^).
