Inside Hikawa Shrine, the girls can all be found lounging in a room. Usagi lies on the floor, on the far side of the table, with her arms crossed behind her head. Her legs are straightened out underneath the table. Minako sits beside Ami on the left side of the table. Ami is perfectly poised, as usual, while Minako sits nervously, as though she's expecting something. Makoto sits off to the left of the table, relaxed. Rei, sits another few feet away, but to the right of the table. She seems to be angry, but is probably concentrating on something.

Minako suddenly looks in Rei's direction and breaks the silence: "Rei-chan? Do you think that if you did a reading, you might be able to foresee Earl and Ann's next move?"

With a finger to her chin, Rei thoughtfully replies: "It's a possibility..."

Suddenly Usagi sighs loudly. Then she complains, "I'm soooooooo bored!"

Usagi sharply sits up, legs still outstretched beneath the table. She slams her hands down on the table, startling Ami and Minako. With a determined look on her face, Usagi announces "We have to do something!"

"Ah .... Usagi-chan, that's what we're talking about right now...." Ami nervously points out.

Usagi's shoulders fall, seemingly in defeat. She sighs, then replies, exasperated: "That's not what I meant, Ami-chan...."

"Ah .... what did you mean then, Usagi-chan?" Ami questions.

"Well, for one thing," Usagi points out, "who cares what Earl and Ann are up to. There's more important things to worry about!" she says.

"Like what Usagi-chan?" Minako asks.

"Like having FUN!" Usagi exclaims, as though it were painfully obvious.

Rei's head falls, "Honestly Usagi-chan...." she begins, a sweat bead forming on the top of her head.

"Well, she does have a point, guys...." Makoto says.

This excites Usagi of course, but the other girls can only look wide-eyed at Makoto in shock. A sweat bead forms on Makoto's forehead. With an arm bent behind her head, and eyes closed, Makoto attempts to explain: "Well ... there hasn't really been much happening lately, so why not do something for fun?" she then opens her eyes carefully, one at a time, preparing for the worst. She lowers her arm.

"I think Mako-chan has a point," Ami says, exciting Usagi more so.

"You think so?" Minako asks, facing Ami while Usagi eagerly awaits the outcome.

"Well ... if something happens, we should be ready for it. But it doesn't help much if we just sit here trying to plan, but not really doing much of anything." Ami explains and looks around nervously.

"We can't just put our lives on hold," Ami continues, "and wait to see what Earl and Ann will do next..."

Rei nods, "I agree Ami-chan," she says quietly.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah! Let's do something FUN!" Usagi over excitedly exclaims.

"All right!" Makoto says.

"So ... what're we gonna do?" Minako asks.

Rei smiles, "Why don't we go downtown to Juuban-gai and do some major shopping?" she suggests.

"Yeah! I like that idea!" Usagi squeals, "For once, Rei actually has a good idea."

"Why you ...!" Rei starts.

"Oh come on now, you two, let's just go...." Makoto begins.

All the girls agree to go, but Usagi and Rei have to engage in a battle of tongue razzing first...

Seijuurou and Natsumi are at their apartment, as usual. They stand together on the balcony, looking out over the city.

"We haven't gotten much energy lately," Natsumi says, "I'm beginning to feel weak...."

Seijuurou turns towards her, "Well, then. It's time to pick another cardigan isn't it?"

Natsumi smiles, "My thoughts exactly!"

The two retreat back inside their apartment and go to the closet. Seijuurou opens the closet door, and morphs into Earl. Natsumi becomes Ann.

"Pick a cardigan, Ann ...." Earl says, watching her.

Ann considers the choices, and finally decides on a plaid cardigan, "I'll take this one," she says.

Earl complements her on her decision. He takes the cardigan out of the closet and hands it to her. He then closes the closet doors. Ann runs off to her room to find something to wear with the cardigan. She finds a pair of striped pants that she thinks will go perfectly with the new cardigan.

With her new outfit composed of the plaid cardigan, striped pants, and a plain white T-shirt, Ann changes back to Natsumi. Earl is once again Seijuurou. The two decide to take a walk downtown. Their plan is to take the energy of misguided shoppers who are buying as many mismatched clothes as possible.

It isn't long at all before Earl and Ann's plan take effect. By the time Usagi and the girls arrive in Juuban-gai and begin shopping, people are beginning to act strangely. Some people are frantically grabbing the ugliest clothes on the racks and scrambling to pay for them before someone else can snatch the garments out of their hands.

Usagi, of course is too absorbed in her own shopping to notice. Rei is the first to say something.

"Um, guys..." she begins, "am I the only one who noticed?"

"What, Rei-chan?" Makoto asks, looking at some clothes.

"I sense something..." Rei says, catching their undivided attention.

"Come to think of it...." Ami begins, "I've never seen people in such a hurry to buy clothes."

"Hey, wait a second!" Usagi exclaims, "Those clothes aren't even on sale. Plus, they're ugly! I have to stop this madness!"

Usagi blocks the cash register, "I can't let you people buy such horrible clothes! What's the matter with you?"

"Out of my way! Get your own stuff!" An enraged shopper says, pushing Usagi aside.

Usagi tries to take the clothes away from the misguided shopper, but something she sees on the street stops her. The shopper grabs their clothes, and proceeds to buy them.

"Hey, Ami-chan, isn't that Natsumi out there?" Usagi says, pointing.

"You shouldn't point, Usagi-chan, it's rude...." Ami begins, but when Usagi turns her head to see, Ami is appalled.

"It is Natsumi! What is she wearing?" Ami exclaims.

Suddenly, the girls see that it isn't Natsumi at all, the girl has changed to Ann.

"This is a time for the Sailor Senshi!" Makoto announces.

Usagi nods, "That's right!"

The girls run back to the deserted change rooms to transform.

"Mercury Star Power..." Ami begins.
"Mars Star Power..." Rei starts.
"Jupiter Star Power..." Makoto says.
"Venus Star Power..." Venus exclaims.
"Moon Crystal Power..." Usagi adds.

"MAKE UP!" They shout in unison.

Once transformed, the Sailor Senshi run out onto the street. They soon find Ann, and have her cornered.

"Hold it right there! How dare you prey on these people's minds? Forcing them to buy the most hideous clothing imaginable! I will punish you in the name of the moon!" Sailor Moon threatens.

Ann laughs, "I don't think so!"

Suddenly, pieces of her cardigan outstretch and grab the girls by the throats, draining their energy. Soon, The Moonlight Knight comes to their rescue, freeing Sailor Moon.

"Moon Tiara Action!" she yells, and frees the other girls.

"Crescent..." Venus begins.
"Burning..." Mars starts.
"Beam!" Venus yells.
"Mandala!" Mars exclaims, joining their attacks.

"Shabon Spray!" Mercury attacks.

Ann is hit by the attacks and soon disappears to leave the cardigan to fend for itself. It grabs Sailor Jupiter when she tries to attack. Just when it grabs Mercury, Mars attacks with, "Fire Soul Bird!"

But the cardigan isn't finished yet. Venus uses her "Crescent Beam!" attack to free Mercury and Jupiter.

"Supreme Thunder Dragon!" Jupiter attacks.
"Shabon Spray Freezing!" Mercury attacks.
"Crescent Beam Shower" Venus attacks.
"Fire Soul Bird!" Mars attacks.

"Moon Princess Halation!" Sailor Moon adds, finishing it off.

As the cardigan falls to the ground in a lump, it turns black and smokes incessantly.

"Phew!" Sailor Moon says, "I'm glad that's over!"

Ann and Earl suddenly reappear. "You may have gotten us this time, Sailor Senshi, but we'll be back!" Ann screams.

"Well at least it won't be with a horrible outfit like you had this time! Ugh! That's the worst fashion mistake of all time!" Sailor Moon shouts at Ann.

"It certainly took you a long time to defeat that cardigan!"

"At least we have better taste than you!" Sailor Moon screams before Ann and Earl disappear.

"Finally ... no more bad fashion sense!" Sailor Moon says.

"That's for sure!" The Senshi unanimously agree.

"Yeah, look what happened today! And just because Ann decided to wear plaid with stripes!" Sailor Mars adds.

"Always be careful about what you wear, it should be appropriate for the weather and should also match!" Sailor Mercury points out.

"Don't just buy clothes because they're cheap," Jupiter adds, "sometimes, you have to pay a little more to look nice!"

"But don't forget to check clearance racks! There are often some really nice clothes there!" Sailor Venus adds.

"So mind where you shop! And be smart about your choices! Sailor Moon Says!" Sailor Moon finishes, with a salute.
